Ground Zero (Punkt zero)

21st July at 5 pm on the Big Stage, the play „Ground zero” directed by Adam Orzechowski will be staged with English subtitles.

This is a fantastic opportunity for foreigners and all theater lovers who would like to enjoy these outstanding performances without language barriers.

The play’s protagonist seems to have everything he ever dreamed of, yet he lacks the most important thing – the joy of life. This is why he describes his existential condition as “ground zero,” a place he wants to leave as quickly as possible to set off in search of lost meaning. To achieve this, he enlists the help of memories, as well as strained relationships and obligations towards family and friends.
But will each of those “elements” truly prove necessary and helpful on his journey?

“The strength of this play and performance lies in discarding obsessive psychologising in favour of discreet, yet ruthless humour. This is why, although it does not seem obvious at first glance,
Ground Zero can be dubbed a tragicomedy. To be precise – the tragicomedy of a man’s fate.”
